The last two ads in our series have now run. The first deals with alcohol related offences, drinking and driving in particular. The best defence is always a good offense; don’t drink and drive. If you do find yourself or someone you know charged you should speak to a defence lawyer as being charged with “drinking and driving” is a criminal matter in Canada governed by the Criminal Code. Examples of drinking and driving offenses in Canada include: driving while impaired by alcohol, driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood (Over 80) or refusing to provide a breath sample. Drinking and driving case law is complicated and the consequences are severe.

Our last ad deals with fraud. Fraud is a crime and if you have been charged with fraud you should only make one call. Fraud cases are complex and should only be handled by experienced and knowledgeable defence lawyers – like the team at Simmonds+Partners Defence.
